The KCA-iP200 connecting cable gives you high-speed access to the music on your iPod through your compatible 2007-up Kenwood CD receiver. One end of the cable plugs into your iPod's dock connector. The other end includes a USB cable and a miniplug cable, both of which connect to your Kenwood stereo's inputs.
The USB cable handles the control and charging of your iPod, so you can navigate through your music files with the Kenwood's controls and view song info on its display. The miniplug connector transfers the music from your iPod to the stereo's auxiliary input. The music travels to your stereo as an analog signal, so you can even play the Digital Rights-protected files you've stored on your iPod.
Note: Your 2007-up Kenwood receiver must include both a USB input and an auxiliary input in order to work with this cable.
